Corn for Chickens by Bernie Morris

Book Blurb Corn for Chickens The best corny jokes and other inanities. Why the title, you might wonder? Well, that is a bad joke in itself. Just as corn is considered a treat for chickens, so might this book be a treat for those who enjoy real groaners – that are, jokes that are so laughably unfunny, you can’t help smiling. ‘Chicken’ can also refer to one who feels fear, so be very afraid if you should think of retelling any of these jokes to others. If you are an intrepid wisecracker anyway, you may expect to be greeted with howls of derision before going to get your coat. So there you have it. This is a collection of the corniest possible jokes, with a few witticisms thrown in here and there. We sincerely hope you enjoy not being very amused, and we promise that you won’t die laughing. KATHERINE BLACK REVIEW PROPER dad jokes. This is a great collection celebrating the art of the groan-worthy joke. The humour is so corny that it’s genuinely funny, a light-hearted delve-in to make you smile. They are beautifully presented with some great illustrations and are well thought out. My favourite sections were the animals and the section on spoonerisms. Q: Which animal is like a cockney heatwave?A: Otter (`otter) …I’ll just leave that one with you. Boom! Boom!  And the cymbals crash. Imagine taxi drivers on a long airport run reeling off these jokes to their passengers—who can’t escape. Perfect. They are perfect for pulling out of the hat at Christmas dinner. I like the idea of sharing one every day, just to make people smile. These are great for anyone seeking a chuckle—or at least a sheepish grin. The playful tone makes the jokes intentionally cheesy, which feels like an inside joke between the author and the reader.   Corn for Chickens is charming because it acknowledges the daftness. A lot of thought has gone into creating this lovely book. It’s a steady stream of “so-bad-they’re-good” quips that tap into universal humour, making it a perfect read for lifting the spirits or breaking the ice at parties. Whether you’re flipping through a few pages for a quick laugh or sharing a punchline with friends, this collection delivers what it promises: a humorous retreat from the mundane. Perfect for a kid’s stocking filler –or for that matter a Christmas gift for anybody. That person that you can never buy for—sorted! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟  Kindle reader 5.0 out of 5 stars fun fun fun Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 June 2024Verified PurchaseBe prepared for laugh out loud one liners, puns, and awful groaners in one compact book of jokes. This is the best bunch of Christmas cracker jokes I have ever read and every one of them was new to me. I almost wish the answers were in a separate section in the back because if you’re gifted like me, you can work out most of the answers, as with all traditional Christmas cracker jokes. You could almost call these jokes short riddles. Although I approached this book with a fair amount of trepidation, I wouldn’t say I was chicken. And yet I enjoyed it immensely. So don’t be misled by the title. It’s not just for chickens. Indeed, I doubt chickens would be able to read it. But if they could they would no doubt think it eggcellent. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟  Kelvin Smith. 5.0 out of 5 stars Corny, not yawny. The Sixpenny Tiger by Jeanette Taylor Ford

Book Blurb When Sally Golding achieves her dream job, to work caring for children in a ‘home’, she becomes deeply involved with the children. One in particular, Davey, touches her heart. The older brother to John, he is often blamed for John’s misdeeds by his housemother, Marjorie, who seems to have taken a great dislike to him. Davey’s problems become much worse when Marjorie marries his father, Tony Adams and the boys go home to live with them. Marjorie subjects Davey to violent abuse; Davey dreams of finding Sally and her becoming his mother. But Sally has problems of her own. Now in an abusive marriage, she needs all her strength to cope. And Joe, who is in love with Sally, is struggling to keep his life together having lost her to Evan, her husband. However, fate has things in store for all of them. Will Davey manage to escape from his personal hell? Will Joe finally achieve his dream to be with Sally? And what of Marjorie – what is it that happened in her life to make her the way she is with Davey? This story shows the great power of love – and that of forgiveness. KATHERINE BLACK REVIEW This is a story that opens to, Sally, our very green heroine seeking work in a children’s home. It starts off sweet, but don’t be fooled, this is no children’s story. I found it absolutely riveting because I was brought up in just such a place. That’s irrelevant except to say they were among the worst five years of my life. The home in this story is trying its best, some places in the 70s were hell on earth. I’m sure this is exactly representative of the better ones. We certainly didn’t have lovely ‘ Aunties’ that took us to their homes for tea and sleepovers, only severe matrons and a housemaster with the nickname, Hitler, that says it all. I wanted the life around the home to continue, and when we veered off into other characters’ lives, I wanted to drag them all back to the children. It was fascinating. This is a poignant story of love and resilience. The human connection is mixed with an increasingly dark tale of how life ‘just is’ for some people. Davey faces horrible cruelty and Sally’s determination to protect him warms the story. The narrative is harsh and uplifting in waves, with the complexities of relationships governing the telling.   This story showcases the realities of abuse and the glimmers of hope that emerge through kindness. The detailed settings are sublime. I adore descriptions of architecture and place. Tapping into the antagonistic characters’ world drives the book and gives the reader its point of morality that not everything is always black and white. It’s a story of healing and forgiveness and ultimately—of love. Beautifully written and highly recommended. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟   Bernie Morris 5.0 out of 5 stars Sad, but well-written Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 August 2024Verified PurchaseDavey and his little brother, John, had to go into a children’s home when their father was unable to cope after the death of their mother. This was not an unusual situation back in the day (late 60s?) when single parents did not realise just how much home help they could actually get. Trouble was Davey was constantly blamed for the mischief of his little brother, by his house mother, Marjory, who seemed to have taken against him and continually gave him good hidings and, as Davey had promised his Dad he would look after John, he did not complain, not that he could have without getting his brother into trouble. His one spark of happiness was Sally, who sometimes took over as ‘Auntie’ (carer) when Marjorie was off. She was both kind and loving, and promised Davey that she would always help him if he ever really needed her. Things got even worse when Davey’s Dad married Marjory and she became his stepmother, but even that was not the worse thing that eventually happened. What I got from this book was mostly sadness to think that such things could so easily happen right under the noses of the authorities, mostly due to the fear of children, both of reprisal, and of not being believed. Of course, many new regulations have been set in place since then, yet, in some cases these things still happen. However, very well written by the author who has got her point across.  🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟  Sue Harris 5.0 out of 5 stars A deeply moving and compelling read! Of Blood and Shadows (The Donati Chronicles Book 1) by Carol-Kerry Green

Synopsis Betrayed by his father and hunted by his nemesis. Can Jerome’s new found paranormal abilities save his family in the coming conflict? Jerome Rossini is offered salvation by his Donati family and takes his first steps in learning about his heritage and the paranormal gifts bestowed upon the Donati. When his sister disappears, the Striga are to blame. He realises the lengths his treacherous father will go to secure power, when he allies with Jerome’s enemies. Forced to confront his nemesis, and stop the Striga from expanding, Jerome and his family seek help from a Vampire Elder. They hope his coven can help them in the coming conflict. If they fail, not only will the Striga unleash a bloodbath, but they will destroy Donati and humanity alike.     KATHERINE BLACK REVIEW This is my first book by Carol-Kerry Green, and I intend to read the whole series. I loved every word and was pulled in by the bootstraps from the beginning. We open with a brutal father handing his young son, Jerome, over to heinous thugs who beat him to the edge of life. He’s rescued by a couple of people, including a lady he never forgets—but can’t quite remember… and so begins his path to discovery. I loved the descriptions of the villa—mansion—belonging to the couple who later rescued him from the streets where he contemplated suicide. They give him a reason to live and answer a few questions—and hold a whole lot more back. The pacing of this book is perfect. The description takes us all over Europe and as far afield as Australia.  And there’s the discoveries—and Jerome’s education. We deep dive into loyalty, power, suffering and the paranormal. Everything is shrouded in a story of familial conflict and supernatural intrigue. The well-developed characters are excellent and we form sides very quickly as the author dictates our loyalties as she sees fit. Jerome Rossini, lurches from betrayal to empowerment and anchors the multi-POV narrative. The personal story evolves into the bigger picture with a larger, apocalyptic conflict. Jerome finds that trust is fragile and enemies lurk in unexpected places where the bonds of family are tested.   The world-building is fantastic. From the mysterious Striga to the alliances with others, the narrative is rich in mythology that feels fresh but meticulously researched. The drama is underscored with a tension that keeps the reader hooked. This book is perfect for fans of supernatural thrillers and family sagas. This covers both. A Fantastic read and I look forward to Book 2. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 About Carol-Kerry Green I love to write and I love to read. Jerome is rescued by his Donati family and taken to a hospital but he disappears before any explanations can be offered and ends up living a miserable life on the streets, tormented by his abusive past. The Donati family don’t give up their search and offer salvation to Jerome who is on the cusp of ending it all. Finally he learns more about his heritage and his paranormal gifts that have laid dormant all these years and hope returns. Razor’s Edge:Part 1 by Mark A. Daniel

Razor’s Edge is a compilation of short horror stories set in the late 80’s.    KATHERINE BLACK REVIEW This is the best modern horror anthology I’ve read, certainly in the last 25 years. It provides a brilliant time machine to the 1980s when I guess the author was a boy. His nostalgia for the time and his settling place was beautiful, and he got to the heart of how a lad thinks and feels. I loved all of his young characters but especially the autistic kid. I work with these children every school day and he got it so right. This author understands all of his people.   This is a collection of horror stories that are nostalgic and haunting. The writing is solid and well crafted, with excellent tension and terror. The book is of its time and has imaginative twists that keep readers guessing. What came out of the mine? The vivid descriptions make this book scream, and the pacing is perfect. The terror feels visceral and the action is immediate. The atmospheric settings take you to a decade that feels so familiar. It was a good time to be young.     The book has psychological depth and classic horror tropes. The collection is well chosen for diversity, so none of the stories feel the same. And the prose is sharp and explores the darkest corners of human vulnerability and fear. Anthologies are always a hard sell. But this is by far one of the better ones I’ve read. Perfect for busy people to dib in and out of, and ideal for commuters … but don’t scream on the train, eh. That would be so uncool.   🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 About Mark A. The Whistle of Revenge by KD Sherrinford

Book Blurb   Sometimes, our deepest fear is not the darkness but the light that blinds. If you loved Conan Doyle’s, The Hound of the Baskerville, prepare to be enthralled by KD Sherrinford’s captivating follow-up, The Whistle of Revenge. The deadly antagonist, Jack Stapleton, makes a spectacular return to the city of Milan in pursuit of his old nemesis, the celebrated Detective Sherlock Holmes. Adopting the enigmatic persona of Janus, a vengeful Stapleton, along with the Italian mafia, wreak havoc on the Italian horse racing fraternity and fledgling car manufacturing industry, and kidnapping Holmes’s beloved son as part of their evil and well-executed master plan—Operation Whistle. Will Holmes, Irene Adler, and their trusted ally, Inspector Romano, crack the code, rescue the boy, and unmask the deadly Janus? Set against the backdrop of modern Milan, mind games and misdeeds of the highest order play out as the story reaches its thrilling and memorable conclusion. KATHERINE BLACK REVIEW This book is fourth in the series and I’ve read two of them. It’s a brilliant continuation of the Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler Mysteries. The series bridges the literary tradition of Arthur Conan Doyle with the author’s narrative and the blend is beautiful in a modern take on the classics, while still being set in the 1880s. The ability to channel the spirit of the Victorian era is wonderful and the writing evokes shadows of Conan Doyle’s charming stories but brings a distinctive and original identity. The vivid depictions of Europe, especially Milan, are created with stunning descriptive pictures. We are invited to the grandeur of the opera, and historical horse racing events. We see the burgeoning influence of new industries being born as horses give way to Ford, and we witness further the splitting of the classes. The prose is effortless transporting readers into a world of society and elegance. Cut Irene in two and  she would have lady written to her core. She personifies elegance and prim sophistication, even when taken in by the kidnappers.   The meticulous research and expertise of the author is apparent. Her integration of art, opera, and historical facts is seamless and elevates the narrative to an educational experience and an excellent and entertaining read. It’s never dull or preachy. Every detail and nuance of 19th-century society is so precise that the reader can trust the authenticity without needing to fact-check. If Sherrinford says it’s right—you can bet your last penny farthing that it is. The depth of history, combined with thrilling plot twists and the interplay between the Saporis makes it a satisfying and intelligent read. The author’s skill breathes new life into familiar characters while crafting a fresh, compelling narrative perfect for fans of classic and more and contemporary mysteries. My favourite character is Nicco. Sometimes he seems far older than his years, but I suppose that comes of having Sherlock Holmes as your father. The graveyard scenes were dark and compelling and I have to hark back to the accomplished description. I  liked the way he followed in his father’s footsteps and left cryptic clues regarding his capture. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 About KD Sherrinford KD Sherrinford is a multi-award-winning International author. It’s a glittering book full of sparkly imagination and holiday cheer. While the writing style takes some getting used to, the story’s creative ideas are good. I loved playing, read the sentence in one breath, but this only added to the book’s charm. It’s lovely.   The concept of wish fairies collaborating with Santa to spread holiday happiness is great. And the unpredictable adventures bring wonder and magic with the jingle bells. I like the idea of being encouraged from the naughty to the nice list with the help of the fairies. Some of the spells were brilliant and my favourite was the use of special face cream. Clever. What stands out most is the creativity. The bejewelled garden centre, the sparkle cards, and the future visions evoke the small child in all of us. The story offers something unexpected and the free use of imagination is really good. An enjoyable read for fans of festive tales and great to read to your little ones. It’s a book with loads of holiday spirit and imaginative storytelling, making it a very unique addition to your seasonal reads. You know what? Anita Kirk has given a different slant on the very competitive Christmas market. I found the book well written and it embraced the spirit of Christmas and teamwork seen through the efforts of the elves, which is a great way to put the efforts required by children as they grow in the world, of course, there is the magic of Christ, as involved too as almost every page is about the enjoyment of Christmas shared with the children and characters in the book. Strongly recommended for a great family share. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟   ZN 5.0 out of 5 stars A Magical Christmas! The Exhibitionist by Anthony Hulse

Book Blurb The discovery of a body, mutilated and morphed into a mermaid triggers a series of gruesome murders in North Yorkshire. Each victim is dismembered, symbolising a mythical being from the past. CID form a team, intent on apprehending the savage killer. Journalist, Mason Vipond is assigned to the story and becomes infatuated with the serial killer. His investigations lead to a series of flawed distractions as a number of suspects are considered. DS Patrick Keenan, also obsessed with discovering the identity of the killer; due to criminal activity and a questionable past is imprisoned. On release, his obsession continues and aided by former colleague, DC Vicky Bunting, he pursues a suspect to Cambodia. A gruesome tale of a manhunt embracing the countries of Greece and Cambodia. Not for the faint-hearted! KATHERINE BLACK REVIEW This is a gripping psychological thriller with atmospheric elements of travel and culture which add a fascinating layer to the police/journalistic procedural. Hulse weaves a chilling serial killer investigation into evocative explorations of Yorkshire England and Southeast Asia. The story builds on a series of macabre murders in Yorkshire, with tension mounting as journalists and the authorities delve into the twisted mind of a serial killer obsessed with ancient mythical creatures. The detectives are led at every turn by the journalists, and the police are unable to solve the murders which adds another unusual element to the book. We expect the police to be all-powerful heroes. While the crime narrative is intense, what sets this novel apart is the colourful depictions of Cambodia and its cultural treasures. From the temples of Angkor Wat to the bustling energy of local tours, we’re taken to the heart of the country and its rich history. There’s even a link to follow taking you to visuals of the setting, I liked that. The descriptions are beautiful and I love the travel depictions. These sections of the book add an unexpected layer to the story and give a beautiful contrast to the undercurrents of the central plot. The exploration of cultural landmarks and local life provides calm amid the suspense and gruesome storyline. For readers who love thrillers with travel and atmosphere, this book is a wonderful journey through psychotic obsession and the allure of distant places. I really enjoyed this book. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Terry Jo Lion I enjoyed reading Anthony’s suspenseful and creative story. The characters were unique and interesting people that I could relate to well. I found the killer’s motives to be frightening and deranged. It made me wonder how many other normal looking people may actually be crazy too. I was engrossed as the killer plotted his next diabolical crime. I may be an odd person, because I found the description of the crimes to be rather entertaining and I had a big laugh at the horrible scene. I was surprised by the ending and found it very satisfying. I am looking forward to reading more stories by this talented author.  🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟   S A Griffiths 5.0 out of 5 stars Delightfully Dark Psychological Thriller Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 October 2024Verified PurchaseTold from multiple points of view including the serial murderer, this is a rather dark and macabre read. People are being killed and made to look like mythical creatures where their corpses are paraded around for all the public to see. On the case is a corrupt Detective Sergeant and an equally immoral journalist. Via the police force’s ineptness and the journalist’s distrust of the police to work with them we see how the serial murderer is able to run rings around them all and may just be able to get away from justice but as we know karma always finds a way. Or does it? It will keep you guessing until the very end. This book is not for the screamish or faint of heart. If you like your psychological detective thrillers very dark and bloody then this is definitely for you. The writing is very descriptive and imaginative and kept me invested throughout. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟   Mrs Helen Buckfield 5.0 out of 5 stars Gruesomely Good! Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 October 2024Verified PurchaseThis latest tale by Anthony Hulse contains all the devious plot twists and interesting characters I’ve come to expect from him. A serial killer with a most unusual modus operandi is on the loose, the macabre manner in which he displays his victims’ post-mortem giving the story an inventive edge. The reason he creates such exhibits is well thought out, demonstrating how the murderer’s psychopathy is based on a demented, flawed logic taken to the extreme. The fascinating motive for these grisly crimes gives this well-crafted, police procedural a touch of originality. It is told from multiple viewpoints, mainly the police investigators and reporters involved in the case, building the tension to nerve-wracking levels all the way up to the unexpected conclusion. I read it very quickly as I couldn’t put the book down, and look forward to another delve into this author’s substantial oeuvre. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 About Anthony (Tony) Hulse I live in the north east of England, UK and opted for early retirement from Corus fifteen years ago in order to concentrate on writing. Inside the Chaos: Book 2 by Stevie Hostetter

Book Blurb This book is a poignant and introspective collection of poetic narratives that give voice to various mental health disorders. Each poem is written from the perspective of the disorder itself, offering an intimate glimpse into the complex emotions, thoughts, and struggles experienced by those who live with these conditions. The disorders covered range from common issues like anxiety, depression, and insomnia to more severe and misunderstood conditions such as schizophrenia, dissociative identity disorder, and Munchausen by proxy. Through vivid and often unsettling imagery, the book explores the feelings of isolation, fear, and internal conflict that accompany these mental health challenges. The writing is raw and evocative, designed to evoke empathy and understanding in the reader, while also highlighting the deeply personal and often hidden nature of mental illness. This collection serves as a powerful reflection on the human psyche, providing a voice to the silent battles fought by many. It encourages readers to confront the realities of mental illness, fostering greater awareness and compassion for those who live with these disorders. KATHERINE BLACK REVIEW The cover of this one threw me, I stupidly read it blurb unseen and expected a novel. That was down to me and I was in for a very enlightening and pleasant surprise. I read this book in one sitting and was blown away by the way it was presented. Some poetry evolving from the personal struggles of mental illness can be convoluted. They are often deeply personal and profoundly reflective and deep. Sometimes irritatingly self-entitled and so complex that you haven’t a clue what the writer is trying to get across. And rightly so, writing poetry is great therapy, and if it helps others, all well and good. This book is different and it’s so brilliantly clever. Each poem reflects a different condition and has the same finishing line. It makes the condition itself the living character of the piece.  … “I am depression.” …. Clever and inspired. I don’t normally read poetry, but this was fantastic. It’s written clearly so that you can see what people suffer. It would be impossible for the author to have every one of these conditions so we understand immediately that she’s writing from a fly-on-the-wall stance.  The book is written by a professional, but not once do you feel lectured to or preached at. While I was reading, I felt this would be the perfect gift for somebody dealing with their mental health—particularly a young person struggling to find a place for their condition in their changing lives. A great read, beautifully told. It’s clean, clear, and tells it straight which cuts through–but takes you straight to– the emotion and pain without the author ever going there. Brilliant, and one of my top reads this year. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟  Pierrette Girard 5.0 out of 5 stars Inside The Chaos Reviewed in the United States on 8 November 2024 Verified PurchaseThrough evocative and unreserved poetry, *Inside The Chaos Poetry* provides an uncompromising, unvarnished examination of emotional turmoil. With a unique voice that is both vulnerable and belligerent, the collection delves deeply into topics of identity, suffering, desire, and social discontent. The intentional use of graphic material challenges taboos and forces readers to face hard realities. While some might find its graphic nature jarring, others will appreciate the authenticity and intensity behind every line. The poems oscillate between anger and introspection, creating a dynamic rhythm that challenges conventional poetic form. This is a collection for readers seeking an unfiltered experience, a chaotic journey that offers little in terms of comfort but much in the way of emotional catharsis.  🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟  Ajay 5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly impactful and thought-provoking Reviewed in Australia on 18 November 2024Verified PurchaseI personally found the book to be incredibly impactful and thought-provoking, and I will definitely recommend it to people in my life who could benefit from its message. Finding Her Way To Hope: Book 2: by Ruth Taylor

“Finding Her Way to Hope by Ruth Taylor is a great read if you like your romance books with an interesting storyline then you will want to give this a read. It is well written and the characters feel true to life. Five stars!” Lucy Winters is stuck in a rut: stuck in her job at her uncle’s motel, and stuck in Hope. With a series of failed relationships behind her, Lucy has given up kissing frogs and dreams of escaping the town where everyone knows everyone.Sheriff Frank Blade is what Lucy’s uncle calls ‘a man’s man’ – small on words, and big on action. The sheriff is one hot guy. It’s a shame most of his actions seem to be aimed at getting Lucy’s back up.When Sally Meadows, a guest from England, arrives at the motel, Lucy begins to see possibilities of escape. But when the sheriff discovers her plans, suddenly he has something to say…Will Lucy escape Hope? Or will she find what she’s seeking right in front of her? Finding Her Way To Hope is a romantic, funny and emotional story of finding yourself, finding friendship, kissing a few frogs to find Mr Right, and trying to have some fun along the way. This is Book 2 in the Hope series and can be read as a standalone, but we recommend reading Sally’s Hope (Book 1) first. KATHERINE BLACK REVIEW This book is a second in series, and after reading the first one, I was looking forward to this. I wasn’t disappointed. I expected more of Sally—but met Lucy, a charming side-step from book one. Lucy goes to live with her uncle after tragedy strikes. Uncle Buck is a blokie-bloke. He hunts and fishes and doesn’t know the first thing about bringing up a little girl. The narrative has authenticity, pulling you into their struggle to adapt. Incidentally, I had a horrible feeling it was going to go a certain way and was so, so pleased when it didn’t. I was sorry when Lucy grew up and started dating, I loved living her childhood with her and Uncle Buck and wanted the whole book to continue like that. But grow up she did, and that girl was ready to strike out. The characters struggled but Lucy’s resilience is inspiring. The story is poignant, reflecting the love and strength found in vulnerability. The writing paints vivid settings of country life and I enjoyed reading its authenticity. The story’s pacing gives us the organic unfolding of self-discovery as Lucy grows up and makes her mistakes along the way. We’ve all fallen for that wrong`un a time or two. It’s a gentle, love story with some bumps along the way and I’m already anticipating book 3 and more of Sherrif  Blade. He knows how to fill a pair of jeans. A brilliant and convincing love story of a child growing up after changes and finding her place as a woman. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟  ZN 5.0 out of 5 stars uplifting and entertaining Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 November 2024 Verified Purchase‘Finding Her Way to Hope,” is a great sequel to “Sally’s Hope,” . I have enjoyed both books equally. Once again, we are taken back into the charming, yet often confining world of small-town life. This heartwarming romance centers around Lucy Winters, a spirited protagonist who feels stifled by the limitations of her surroundings. Lucy’s yearning for escape is palpable, and her internal struggle resonates with anyone who has ever felt trapped by their circumstances. The story takes an intriguing turn when Lucy’s ambitions collide with the presence of Sheriff Frank Blade, a character whose strong and silent demeanor adds layers of complexity to the story. Their unexpected connection serves as the catalyst for Lucy’s journey of self-discovery. As Lucy grapples with her dreams, she also learns to navigate the intricacies of love and friendship, which are beautifully woven into the fabric of the plot. “Finding Her Way to Hope” is a delightful blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth, making it an enchanting read for fans of small-town stories. It’s a celebration of love’s surprises and the importance of staying true to oneself in the face of life’s challenges. Whether you’re already a fan of the series or new to Lucy’s journey, this charming tale is sure to leave you feeling uplifted and hopeful.  🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Josephine Wrightson 4.0 out of 5 stars great read Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 March 2024Verified PurchaseThis is actually the first book I have read by Ruth Taylor, and I managed to skip book 1, but I loved it. I was routing for the couple by the end.. I think I may very well have to go back and read book 1 now.
